Why does textbook code crash with AttributeError on `.ix`?

The Pandas development team deprecated and removed `.ix` because it caused ambiguities between labels and integer positions. Modern school labs use `.loc` or `.iloc`.

Learning Outcomes

Learn the basics of Python: dynamic typing, variables, expressions, loops, conditionals, functions, and file handling.
Familiarize with interactive notebook environments: Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab, and Kaggle.
Operate essential Python libraries: math, random, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Pandas.
Diagnose and correct common code errors in printed school textbooks (e.g. deprecated `.ix` in Pandas).
Write clean Python scripts to compute statistics and manipulate datasets.

Board Exam Scoring Tips

In code tracing questions, trace variables step-by-step using a memory execution table for full partial marks.
Always write clean indented Python code using 4 spaces per block level.
In practical lab exams, verify array dimensions with `array.shape` before operations.

Key Takeaways

Programming for AI carries 20 periods — the largest unit in Class XI Part B.
Pandas `.ix` method has been removed in modern Python 3.10+; always use `.loc` (label-based) or `.iloc` (integer-based).
NumPy shape broadcasting mismatches occur when combining arrays of incompatible shapes.
Interactive Jupyter notebooks allow iterative data inspection and inline plotting.
