Born in Guwahati. Re-imagined for Every Home in India.
Mentora is the direct evolution of STEM Academy Guwahati, created by an active classroom AI faculty member, author, and production developer who set out to solve the commuting struggle for students and parents.
M. F. Haque
Founder of Mentora & STEM Academy Guwahati
Faculty of Artificial Intelligence (AHSEC / ASSEB Subject 527)
The Genesis: Why STEM Academy Guwahati Evolved into Mentora
STEM Academy Guwahati was founded as an experiential physical maker center. In our offline laboratory, children assembled balsa wood gliders, wired breadboard circuits, and programmed robotic rovers on Saturdays and Sundays. Demand surged, with batches filling rapidly.
Yet, as our founder observed every evening, a troubling reality emerged: school children and parents were spending up to two exhausting hours stuck in bumper-to-bumper city traffic just to reach a 60-minute hands-on class. Children arrived drained of energy, and working parents were stressed by logistics.
Mentora was engineered to eliminate this barrier completely. By delivering custom-engineered physical STEM kits right to the family doorstep and coupling them with live evening micro-cohorts inside in-browser interactive sandboxes, children receive the exact same rigorous hands-on maker experience from the peace and comfort of their study desk.
Fighting Screen Addiction with Tactile Engineering
As the author of “The Anesthetic Life: How to Break the Scroll, Reclaim Your Bio-logy, and Fall in Love with Living Again” (published in both English and Bengali as “জীবনকে নতুন করে ভালোবাসুন”), M. F. Haque has written extensively on the physiological and cognitive toll of endless algorithmic doom-scrolling on developing minds.
Mentora was structured in direct opposition to passive screen consumption. While other apps aim to keep children tapping glass mindlessly, Mentora turns screens into active workstations:
Mindless short-form video loops, gaming binges, sensory overload, and shortened attention spans.
Cutting and balancing balsa wood ribs, wiring safe 5V sensors, writing clean Python, and testing wind tunnels.
Active Faculty of Artificial Intelligence (AHSEC / ASSEB Subject 527)
Unlike corporate EdTech heads who haven't taught a child in years, our founder teaches Artificial Intelligence to Class XI and Class XII senior secondary students on a weekly basis in a reputed school in Assam.
This direct daily connection to board exams, textbook flaws, and adolescent learning curves is why Mentora's AHSEC / ASSEB AI Subject 527 Hub is the single most trusted, teacher-adopted curriculum portal across Assam. The lesson plans, lab manuals, and Python 3.10 code errata published on Mentora are tested in real classrooms before they ever reach the web.
A Curriculum Written by Someone Who Ships Real Apps
When young learners at Mentora study variables, algorithms, APIs, and UI layout grids, they aren't memorizing obsolete theoretical bullet points. They are learning from a developer who architects and maintains active production systems:
Local search and discovery ecosystem with cross-platform native Android architecture.
Dynamic mobile design studio for micro-merchants and SMB visual marketing automation.
High-performance image compression and aspect ratio utility by Flipshoppers.
Automated industrial parts catalog and enterprise equipment logistics cloud platform.
